We got to take a wagon ride on Christmas Eve morning.  It was a lot of fun.  We all would have liked to go longer, but the little ones were getting cold.  Josh had fun learning more about draft horses.  He would like to get into them someday.

Grandma and Grandpa Hanson with our family
When we were all dressed for mass, we took some family pictures.  At mass the kids were fairly good.  Johnny was so excited to go see the nativity that was infront of the altar after mass.  He went right up and kissed Baby Jesus.  It was so cute.  When children's choir started singing before mass, I told him that they were singing for Baby Jesus' Birthday, so of course he wanted to sing Happy Birthday Jesus (which we had been singing a lot).  They didn't sing it, so on our way home after mass we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.

Olue was exhausted after mass.  We tried to haver her sit down to the beautiful table with us, but she just wanted a bottle and her bed.  John sat through supper, but couldn't wait to get to what was next....Presents!
The little ones opened presents first and then the rest of us.  It was a lot of fun.  Everyone tried to "cut back" this year and made many home made gifts.  With such a large family, there were still many many presents to go around!  Johnny accidentally opened the Loegering Kid's Cars 2 movie.  He was so excited and everyone thought it was his until Josh said "Wait a minute!"  Johnny did get the Cars 2 movie, just a week later from my parents.:)

"Wow!"  a movie (Veggie Tales)
Cy (and Kristina) were pretty excited about the new remote controlled tractor that Josh and Jake got him.  Luckily Johnny didn't spill the beans.  He had been talking all about it before we went for Christmas.
Johnny's Rocking Horse
Josh and Jake made rocking horses for John and Addy.  They were still in a few pieces when we brought them home last.  Josh finished putting them together before Christmas.  They just need handles and to be finished.  Johnny watched Daddy build them, so he was very excited when he finally got to ride his on Christmas Eve.

We made St. Michael Chaplets for Jared and Stacie.

Grandma's cutting board
Josh and Jake made cutting boards for Sue, Ruth, and me.  Josh was able to finish Sue's and Ruth's before he burned up the motor on his belt sander.  I'm still waiting for mine, but I'm excited for Josh to finish it when we can get a new sander.  I told Josh that he'll have to build a little display shelf for it in the kitchen.:)
Ruth's cutting board

The girls got together to make a cookbook scrapbook for Katie and Thomas.

I made Josh a work shirt for Christmas.  I still need to do some finishing on it...Maybe this weekend!

What's in there Grandpa?

Josh mounted Roger's antlers.
