Welcome Hannah Joy

We invited Katie and Thomas out to brunch on Sunday.  They were looking forward to coming, but ended up going to the hospital instead.  Katie was in labor for a VERY long time, but everything else went fine and both Katie and Hannah are doing very well.  Hannah was finally born at 2:30am Monday morning Feb 17th.  She weighed 7lbs and 8 oz.
We went to visit them with Jake and Ruth when the guys were done with work yesterday.  She is so precious, and now we're even more excited to see our new baby too.

Hannah reminds me...
I had an OB appointment with ultrasound and biophysical profile last Friday.  Katie actually watched the kids.  It seems weird that she has hers already now.:)  Anyway.  The ultrasound measured the size of the baby.  The doctor said that the baby is perfect size for age and she wouldn't be able to tell the baby was from a diabetic mom.  (Thank you CGM!-the continuous glucose monitoring system that came with my new pump I got in January.)  The biophysical profile was good, except they didn't see the baby practicing breathing, which the doctor said the age of the baby is young enough that it's okay.  We're opting out of the extensive testing that the doctor recommends and only doing biophysical profiles when I go to Fargo for doctor appointments.  Since my bloodsugars have been under good control and we haven't ever had anything show up with any of the other pregnancies and all the testing we've done with them.  We set up the date of the c-section for April 10th.  Hopefully everything goes well and we can deliver that day and not have to force it earlier.
I better go.  Jeremiah has his third poop of the morning in his pants and I can't handle the smell anymore.  (He's sitting next to me coloring.)  This is one time I'm thankful he's in diapers.  Our sewer line is clogged and we are limited in the amount of water that goes down.  No solids allowed!  What I cleaned out of the basement shower yesterday was enough.  (Thankfully the solids were contained to the shower!)  I don't want to have to see that stuff more than once.  Hopefully the plumber can come sometime today.  I'm tired of seeing a sink full of dirty dishes.  Okay.  Now Jerry's eating the crayons.  Gotta go!
