Halloween - Thanksgiving

We brought pumpkins and gourds from New Salem to decorate our new home for the fall.  We made two jack-o-lanterns for the kids on Halloween.  Then we dressed up and went trick or treating.  The kids had a lot of fun!

 We spent some time at Lake Ashtabula the first weekend we lived in Valley City.  There wasn't any fish biting on shore, but we still had a good time.

Cy shot his first buck this year.  Josh sat with him in the stand.  They were just about to get out of the stand because it was so cold, when Cy saw this deer come in and shot it.

We cut up Dad's deer the next day at our house.  Mom kept the big kids busy ready stories while we processed the meat.

Okay.  Now I'm almost up-to-date on pictures.  I really need to take more pictures though.  I made Josh a photo calendar for Christmas again this year, and didn't have much to choose from for November pictures.
We got quite a bit of snow last week.  I took a few pictures of the kids playing in it before it got too cold to even go outside with them.  I don't mind having the snow, but I wish it was warm enough for the kids to go play in it.  They sure had fun the few times that we did go out last week!
Josh was gone to Bismarck for training all last week.  We are supper happy to have him back home.  We really missed him.
We had the Fischer Christmas party in Valley City on Saturday.  It was lots of fun and good to see everyone that made it.  I'm really glad Barb brought Rachael's kids, so John, Lu, and Jerry had someone to play with.  They all had a blast together!
We're getting ready for Christmas now.  My Christmas letter is all printed, now I'm just waiting to get the photo cards that I ordered.  We have almost all of our Christmas presents for others.  Now we're working on a Jesse Tree to remember the real meaning of Christmas and teach it to the kids.  They have fun making a new tree ornament every day that goes along with the story of the Bible starting with creation and leading up to Jesus' birth on Christmas.
