Bringing Home Jeremiah

The c-section went well on Friday.  Jeremiah was born at 7:38am.  He cried a lot before they even got him out of the delivery room.  He nurses great, sleeps a lot, and is really cute!

Friday afternoon John, Olue, and Mom and Dad came to see us in the hospital.

We supplemented with formula the first few days.  It takes a while for my milk to come in (maybe because of the c-section?).  Jeremiah is already starting to gain back his lost weight.  It took both John and Olue a long time to gain back the weight.

Johnny was really scared when he saw me hooked up to the IV and machines when he came to see me after Olue was born.  I was happy to see that Lu Lu didn't seem to even notice them.

We were definitely ready to go home by Sunday morning.  We got the all clear and headed to the pharmacy for my pain pills.  We left so early that there wasn't any pharmacy open in Bismarck, so I lived without them til Monday morning.  I wanted to get home so bad!

Katie and Thomas came to spend the night on Monday on their way to their honey moon in Glacier.  It was really nice to see them and show them their soon to be Godson.

We tried to move Olue into Johnny's bed and Johnny into the full sized bed in his room, but....it didn't work. Josh moved her back to her crib after she fell out of bed twice in twenty minutes (on the second night).  We'll try again in a month or so when Jeremiah needs the crib.

Josh took all week off from work.  It's been so nice to have him home.  I'm glad he has the 4th off next week.  I think it might be a ruff first week (especially with the chickens...He's been watering them 3+ times a day).

Our 4th wedding anniversary was on Thursday and we kinda forgot again...Ooops.  Josh got some ice cream and a movie at the gas station.  I slept through most of the movie.  But we sat together on the couch.  It was kinda nice.  Every time we watched a movie at the end of the pregnancy I was on the opposite end of the couch trying to be comfortable.  We had coffee and fresh muffins early this morning on the porch.  That's one of my favorite things to do.  The kids came out to join us when they woke up (about 2 minutes after we got out there).  It was really nice.

We've been going to the New Salem pool this week.  Josh and the kids have been having a lot of fun.  I can't wait til I can go in too.  It gets a little hot sitting in the sun unable to get wet past my legs.

John has become such a big boy these last couple days.  He is such a help and a big talker.  Sometimes his stories get a little long, but it's fun to talk with him.:)

Olue is getting 3 molars at once, so she's been a little needy lately.  She was kinda naughty when we first brought Jeremiah home, but she seems to be getting over it real fast.  She's been talking a lot too.  She says too much.  Some of it I can't understand, which frustrates her, but we figure most of it out.

Better go...Time for bed!

Congrats to Katie and Thomas on your wedding! We wish we could be there for your special day.  Hope you have a great day tomorrow and we can't wait to see you on Monday.

New Baby Tomorrow

We're going in for the c-section tomorrow at 5:10am.  The surgery is scheduled for 7am.  We're excited and nervous.  Thank you for everyone that's been praying for us!  Mom and Dad are coming out tonight to watch John and Olue while we're in the hospital.  It's nice that we live close, so Josh plans to come home in the evenings and do chores and put John and Lu to bed at night.

We're praying for Katie and Thomas.  We wish we could be there for their wedding on Saturday, but we're looking forward to seeing them on Monday on their way out to their honeymoon in Glacier.

I was kinda liking posting on Sunday evenings with my CSA blog....But I don't think that'll happen this week, so you'll have to wait for pictures whenever they come.:)

Happy Birthday Johnny

Johnny's 3rd birthday was on Saturday.  Jared and Stacie came out for the weekend and we had a lot of fun working together, playing together, and celebrating John's birthday.  Jared came out Friday morning.  We worked in the garden in the morning and relaxed a little by the kiddy pool in the afternoon.  Stacie came in the evening and she helped me clean up and set up for the baby and make/decorate John's Lightning McQueen birthday cake on Saturday.  Jared and Josh worked more in the gardens on Saturday.  We now have all that weeding and mulching done.  It was really nice to have the extra help again!

 Josh and Jared made a new fire pit down by the strawberry bed and pasture garden.  Johnny's birthday supper was hot dogs and marshmallows cooked over the campfire.  We brought down all the things we needed to eat and play and had a wonderful evening together in the pasture by the new fire pit.

Happy Father's Day to our Dads and Grandpas.  We had a good Father's Day.  Josh just wanted to relax and watch movies and he got his wish.  It was a nice relaxing day.  We sat around a visited with Jared and Stacie before they left, watched a couple movies, and played outside a little with the kids.  It was a great day!

We're looking forward to the new baby and the end of the pregnancy.  Friday morning at 5:10am we get to be at the hospital....should be a nice early morning!  My mom and dad are coming up to watch the kids over the weekend.  Johnny's excited to play with them this weekend.  Lu Lu is still oblivious, so we hope she does well while we're gone.  Katie's wedding is this weekend.  We hope all the best to her and Thomas, and we look forward to seeing them on their way to their honeymoon.
